Pressemitteilung. Nach dem iPhone ist jetzt das Google Android Plattform in der Lage, Nutzern mit FoxyTag Informationen über Radarfallen in Echtzeit zu übermitteln.

FoxyTag ist ein weltweit eingesetztes Vorwarnsystem für mobile und stationäre Radarfallen, dass auf Smartphones installiert werden kann. Das System verteilt dabei Informationen und Meldungen, die wiederum von den Nutzern selbst generiert werden. Nutzer markieren Radarfallen und eine Software überprüft die Zuverlässigkeit dieser Meldungen anhand verschiedener Kriterien. FoxyTag verwaltet heute mehr als 37.000 fest installierte Radarfallen, hauptsächlich in Europa, Südafrika, Australien, Nordafrika, den Vereinigten Arabischen Emiraten, Brasilien, China, Taiwan, USA, Kanada, Russland, Neuseeland, Singapur und Israel. FoxyTag warnt aber auch in Echtzeit vor mobilen Radarfallen sowie an Plätzen, an denen typischerweise Radarfallen stehen.

FoxyTag ist seit langem für das iPhone und auf älteren Mobiltelefonen mit Java Support verfügbar. Ab jetzt gibt es mit EverySpeedCam auch eine Android-Version, die von Atoll Ordenadores entwickelt und von FoxyTag zertifiziert wurde. Diese Zertifizierung garantiert die notwendige Systemzuverlässigkeit und die Integration mit der Backend-Software zur Überprüfung der Vertrauenswürdigkeit von Meldungen.

Im Vergleich mit anderen Radarwarnern für Android bietet EverySpeedCam Zugriff auf die gesamte FoxyTag Datenbasis. Alle Daten sowie das aufgebaute Vertrauensnetzwerk zwischen den einzelnen FoxyTag-Nutzern werden weiterhin von FoxyTag verwaltet. Frühere iPhone Nutzer können ihre eigenen Daten und Ihren Vertrauensstatus im FoxyTag-System auf ein Google-Phone übertragen. Alle seine früheren Beiträge on Form von korrekten oder auch inkorrekten Markierungen werden auf die neue Applikation übertragen. Dieser Punkt ist für FoxyTag entscheidend: “Menschen wechseln heute ihr Telefon öfters und gerade die Wechsel von iPhone zu Android nehmen in letzter Zeit zu.” meint Michel Deriaz, Projektleiter bei FoxyTag. “Nutzer schätzen daher den Service, dass Sie auch mit einem anderen Telefon dank ihres bereits erarbeiteten Vertrauensstatus genau die gleichen zuverlässigen Daten über Radarfallen erhalten können“. Ein weiterer Vorteil ist, dass die neue Android-Applikation vom ersten Tag auf die Tausenden von Informationen und Daten des bestehenden FoxyTag-Netzes zugreifen kann.

Das Google-Geschäftsmodell hat auch die Entwickler von FoxyTag inspiriert: Die Basisversion der Software kann unbegrenzt kostenlos genutzt werden. Die einzige Einschränkung ist, dass keine mobilen Radarfallen gemeldet werden. Für Vincent Parisod, Vertriebsleiter bei FoxyTag, sind solche Modelle attraktiver für die Nutzer: “Diese Modelle ersetzen mehr und mehr Shareware, wo Nutzer auch kostenfrei aber eben zeitbeschränkt testen können. Das Telefon ist ein sehr persönliches Gerät, auf dem man keine Applikation installieren möchte, die nur zeitweise genutzt werden kann. Nutzer bevorzugen Applikation, die zeitlich unbegrenzt sind und wo sie selbst entscheiden, ob und wann sie auf eine Bezahlversion umsteigen, die dann mehr Funktionen bereithält.” Die Bezahlversion des Radarwarners kostet 3.50 EUR.

Comunicato stampa. Dopo l’iPhone è il turno dei telefoni di casa Google a trarre vantaggio della tecnologia FoxyTag, ricevendo in tempo reale gli avvisi della presenza degli autovelox sul proprio smartphone Android.

FoxyTag è un sistema che permette di ricevere su cellulari e smartphones gli avvisi per la presenza di un autovelox con una copertura molto vasta. Il sistema è basato sulla collaborazione e viene gestito in modo quasi del tutto automatico: gli utilizzatori segnalano (tag) la presenza degli autovelox e il software di gestione verifica quanto la segnalazione sia realmente affidabile, basandosi sul grado di affidabilità attribuito al singolo utilizzatore. Attualmente l’archivio contiene più di 37.000 autovelox fissi, principalmente in Europa, Sud Africa, Australia, Maghreb, Emirati Arabi, Brasile, Cina, Taiwan, Stati Uniti, Canada, Russia, Nuova Zelanda, Singapore e Israele. FoxyTag segnala anche gli autovelox mobili e i così detti fantasmi, luoghi spesso utilizzati per posizionare postazioni mibili.

Disponibile da molto tempo per iPhone e cellulari in grado di eseguire applicazioni java, FoxyTag ha ora la sua versione per Android. Chiamata EverySpeedCam, è stata progettata da Atoll Ordenadores e validata da FoxyTag. Questa validazione garantisce il corretto funzionamento e l’alto livello di affidabilità e integrazione con il software di gestione.

A differenza degli altri sistemi di segnalazione disponibili su Android, EverySpeedCam mantiene tutto lo storico dei dati e delle relazioni di fiducia stabiliti tra gli utilizzatori: essendo gestiti interamente dal software di gestione di FoxyTag è possibile, ad esempio, passare da un iPhone a un telefono Android mantenendo tutto il pregresso. Tutti i contributi precedenti, siano essi segnalazioni di nuove postazioni o conferme di postazioni esistenti, verranno trasferite in modalità completamente trasparente. Questo è un punto fondamentale per Michel Deriaz, project leader di FoxyTag: “Le persone cambiano frequentemente i propri cellulari e il passaggio a sistemi Android avviene con numeri significativamente sempre più alti. Gli utilizzatori vengono così assicurati che manterranno le stesse informazioni e le stesse relazioni di fiducia anche se decidessero di cambiare il telefono.” L’altro aspetto principale è che questa nuova applicazione beneficerà dei contributi di migliaia di utilizzatori già presenti nel database.

Lo spirito di Google ha ispirato anche la parte business, dove la versione base del programma può essere utilizzata in modo gratuito e senza limiti di tempo con la differenza che questa versione non segnala gli autovelox mobili. Per Vincent Parisod, responsabile marketing e vendite di FoxyTag, questo modello viene apprezzato dai clienti: “Questo modello sostituisce piano piano gli sharewares, applicazioni che le persone possono testare liberamente ma per un periodo limitato. Gli smartphones stanno diventando qualcosa di molto personale e agli utilizzatori non piace installare delle applicazioni che potrebbero non essere più disponibili dopo poco tempo. Sicuramente preferiscono installare un’applicazione che sanno di poter utilizzare per tutto il tempo necessario restando liberi, nel contempo, di decidere se e quando passare alla versione a pagamento in modo da attivare tutte le sue funzionalità.” La versione a pagamento di questa applicazoine è disponibile al costo di 3.50 EUR.

Communiqué de presse. Après l’iPhone, ce sont maintenant les téléphones Google qui bénéficient de la technologie FoxyTag pour recevoir en temps réel les radars sur son smartphone Android.

FoxyTag est un avertisseur radar pour téléphone mobile fonctionnant dans le monde entier. Le système est collaboratif et autogéré: Ce sont les utilisateurs qui “taguent” les radars et ce sont des moteurs de confiances électroniques qui assurent la qualité des données. FoxyTag contient aujourd’hui plus de 37′000 radars fixes, essentiellement en Europe, Afrique du Sud, Australie, Maghreb, EAU, Brésil, Chine, Taïwan, USA, Canada, Russie, Nouvelle-Zélande, Singapore et Israël. FoxyTag signale également les radars mobiles ainsi que les tags fantômes (emplacements ayant souvent des contrôles mobiles).

Disponible depuis longtemps sur l’iPhone ainsi que les anciens téléphones fonctionnant sous java, FoxyTag possède maintenant sa version Android. Nommée EverySpeedCam, elle a été conçue par la société irlandaise Atoll Ordenadores puis validée par FoxyTag. Cette validation garantit un haut niveau de fiabilité et une parfaite intégration avec les moteurs de confiance.

Comparé à d’autres avertisseurs de radars fonctionnant sur Android, EverySpeedCam garde tous les atouts de FoxyTag. Les données et les liens de confiance créés entre les utilisateurs sont toujours gérés par les moteurs de confiance de FoxyTag. Un ancien utilisateur iPhone qui opterait pour un téléphone Google retrouverait ainsi toutes ses données. Ses contributions précédentes (signalement ou confirmation de radars) seraient transférées de manière transparente. Ce point est capital pour le leader du projet, Michel Deriaz: “Les gens changent de plus en plus souvent de mobile, et les migrations vers Android sont très fortes actuellement. Les utilisateurs sont donc rassurés de savoir qu’ils auront à leur disposition exactement les mêmes données radar, avec la même fiabilité, même si ils changent de mobile.” L’autre atout majeur est que cette nouvelle application profite d’emblée de la contribution des milliers d’utilisateurs précédents vu qu’elle se connecte sur la base de données commune.

L’esprit Google se retrouve également dans le modèle commercial, où une version gratuite peut être utilisée librement et sans limite de temps. La différence avec la version payante est que les radars mobiles ne sont pas signalés. Pour Vincent Parisod, le responsable ventes et communication chez FoxyTag, ce modèle est de plus en plus apprécié par les utilisateurs de mobiles: “Ce modèle remplace peu à peu les sharewares, ces applications que l’utilisateur peut tester gratuitement mais sur une durée limitée. Le mobile étant quelque chose de très personnel, les gens sont réticents à l’idée d’installer une application potentiellement temporaire. Ils préfèrent installer une application qu’ils pourront garder aussi longtemps qu’ils le souhaitent, quitte à faire une mise à jour avec la version payante par la suite pour pouvoir bénéficier de la totalité des fonctionnalités.” La version payante de cet avertisseur de radars est disponible pour 3.50 EUR.

Press release. After the iPhone, it is now the Google phones that benefit from the FoxyTag technology to receive in real time speed cameras on one’s Android smartphone.

FoxyTag is a worldwide speed camera warning system working on mobile phones. The system is collaborative and self-managed: The users “tag” the speed cameras and some electronic trust engines check the quality of the posted information. FoxyTag contains today more than 37′000 fixed speed cameras, mainly in Europe, South Africa, Australia, Maghreb, UAE, Brazil, China, Taïwan, USA, Canada, Russia, New Zealand, Singapore and Israel. FoxyTag signals also mobile speed cameras and ghosts (places where there are often mobile speed cameras).

Available since long time on iPhone and older phones running with java, FoxyTag has now its Android version. Named EverySpeedCam, it was designed by Atoll Ordenadores and validated by FoxyTag. This validation guaranties a high level of reliability and a perfect integration with the trust engines.

Compared with other speed camera warning systems running on Android, EverySpeedCam keeps all the assets of FoxyTag. The data and the trust links created between the users are still managed by the FoxyTag’s trust engines. A former iPhone user that opts for a Google phone recovers so all its data. His former contributions (tagging or confirmation of speed cameras) would be transferred in a transparent way. This point is capital for Michel Deriaz, the FoxyTag project leader: “People change more and more often their mobile phone, and migrations to Android are currently significantly increasing. The users are therefore reassured if they have exactly the same speed trap information, with the same reliability, even if they change their phone.” The other main asset is that this new application benefits directly from the former contributions of thousands of users since it connects to the common database.

The Google spirit inspired also the business model, where a basic version can be used for free and without time limit. The difference is that this version doesn’t mention mobile speed cameras. For Vincent Parisod, the sales and communication manager of FoxyTag, this model pleases to smartphone customers: “This model replaces little by little the sharewares, these applications that the user can freely test but for a limited time. The smartphone being something very personal, people don’t like to install application that are potentially only temporary. They prefer to install an application they will be able to keep as long as they want, and then freely chose when or if they want to upgrade to the paying version in order to benefit from all functionalities.” The paying version of this speed camera warner is available for 3.50 EUR.

Pressemitteilung. TrackerTag is eine einfach zu nutzende iPhone App, die Autofahrer 15 Sekunden vor Passieren einer Readarfalle akustisch warnt. Die App basiert auf der Technology von FoxyTag, die bereits von anderen Softwarelösungen genutzt wird.

Die Idee hinter FoxTag ist die Community. Jede Radarfalle, statisch oder mobl, wird von FoxTag markiert. Nutzer können Radafallen melden und insbesondere die Existenz bestehender Radarfallen bestätigen. Damit entsteht ein Vertrauensnetzwerk. Je mehr korrekte und von anderen Nutzern bestätigte Meldungen ein Nutzer an FoxyTag sendet, desto vertrauenswürdiger ist er als Quelle von Informationen. Wenig vertrauenswerte oder falsche Informationen werden aus der Datenbank gelöscht. Dank der einfachen Bedienung ist das Melden einer neuen Radarfalle denkbar einfach. Es muss lediglich der Typ der Radarfalle - statisch oder mobil - und die Fahrtrichtung angegeben werden. Damit ist sichergestellt, daß Nutzer nicht unötig bei Radarfallen auf der Gegenfahrspur gewarnt werden. Genau so einfach kann ein Radarfalle aus dem System gelöscht werden. Der Sinn der App besteht nicht darin, Aufofahrer zum Rasen zu ermutigen. Fahrer können sich aber dank Trackertag mehr auf den Verkehr konzentrieren, anstatt ständig in der Angst vor Bussgeldern die Strassenränder nach Radarfallen abzusuchen. Studien zeigen, daß Autofahrer selbst dann beim Anblick einer Radarfalle abbremsen, wenn sie sich innerhalb der erlaubten Höchstgeschwindigkeit bewegen. Dies provoziert unnötige Verkehrsunfälle.

Comunicato stampa. TrackerTag e’ una semplice applicazione per iPhone in grado di avvisare della presenza di un autovelox 15 secondi prima di raggiungerlo. Il software e’ basato sulla tecnologia di FoxyTag, gia’ ampiamente utilizzata da moltri altri software e con un crescente numero di utilizzatori.

L’idea consiste nella creazione di segnali virtuali vicini a ogni autovelox mentre ci si passa davanti, da quel momento tutti gli utilizzatori verranno avvisati quando passeranno vicino a quello stesso autovelox con messaggi visivi e sonori. Una volta ricevuto l’avviso siete in grado di confermare o smentire la presenza dell’autovelox stesso, generando in questo modo una relazione di fiducia con il segnalatore originario: piu’ volte viene confermata la presenza e piu’ l’informazione viene considerata affidabile! Tutto questo fa si che le informazioni che si ricevono siano molto affidabili mentre le informazioni sbagliate, o non validate, saranno rimosse dall’archivio. La creazione del segnale e’ molto semplice grazie a un’interfaccia utente molto intuitiva, tutto quello che c’e’ da fare e’ selezionare il tipo di autovelox e indicare la sua direzione in modo che chi proviene dal lato opposto non ricevera’ l’avviso. Basta un semplice click anche per segnalare che l’autovelox e’ stato spostato o che non esiste piu’. Questa applicazione non e’ stata progettata per incoraggiare le persone a viaggiare oltre il limite di velocita’ o per altri comportamenti scorretti, e’ stata pensata per far si che si possa guidare piu’ concentrati nella guida piuttosto che distrarsi guardando piu’ volte il tachimetro per la paura di ricevere una multa per eccesso di velocita’: studi approfonditi hanno dimostrato che, vedendo un autovelox o un sistema simile, molte volte si frena bruscamente anche se in quel momento non si sta superando il limite, causando cosi’ rallentamenti o anche degli incidenti.

Press release. TrackerTag is an easy to use iPhone application that alerts you as soon as you are in a 15-second range of a speed camera. The software is based on FoxyTag’s technology which is already used by many other systems and with a growing number of users.

The idea consists in the creation of a virtual tag near every speed camera you drive by. From then on all users will be alerted as soon as they get close to the same device so as auditory and visual. As an informed user you will be able to validate or invalidate the presence of a speed camera and this will automatically generate a trust link between you and its creator. The more a tag is validated the more the information is considered as reliable. This way all the information you will receive will be trustworthy and unreliable tags will be erased from the database. Creating a tag is very easy thanks to an intuitive user interface. All you need to do is selecting the kind of speed camera and indicate in which direction it was set, so people won’t be alerted for the ones on the opposite side of the road. As easy as the touch of a button you can also invalidate a tag for a camera which has been moved or doesn’t exist anymore. This application isn’t in any way designed to encourage people in speeding or any other faulty behavior. It has been thought for drivers to be more concentrated on the traffic than on their speedometer because of the fear of having a speed ticket. Studies have shown that people tend to abruptly hit the breaks when they see a speed camera even if they were driving within limits which can cause traffic jams or even accidents.

Communiqué de presse. TrackerTag est une application iPhone simple d’utilisation qui permet d’être prévenu de la présence d’un radar dans un périmètre de 15 secondes. Ce logiciel est basé sur la technologie FoxyTag déjà utilisée par une dizaine d’autres systèmes et avec un nombre d’utilisateurs grandissant.

Le principe consiste à créer un tag virtuel à proximité des radars près des quels vous passez. Dès cet instant, tous les utilisateurs seront avertis à l’approche du dit dispositif de manière auditive et visuelle. En tant qu’utilisateur prévenu vous pourrez infirmer la présence du radar ou le confirmer ce qui va automatiquement créer un lien de confiance entre vous et le créateur du tag. Plus un tag sera confirmé plus l’information sera considérée fiable. De cette manière, les informations que vous recevrez seront toujours de qualité de même que les informations fallacieuses effacées de la base de données. La création de ces balises est très simple. Grâce à un menu intuitif, il vous suffira de sélectionner le type de radar et d’indiquer la direction dans laquelle il est dirigé ce qui évitera des alertes pour les dispositifs en sens inverse. À l’aide d’un autre bouton, vous pourrez simplement signaler que l’appareil a été déplacé ou n’existe plus. En aucun cas cette application n’est conçue pour encourager les excès de vitesse ou tout autre comportement à risque. Il s’agit d’un produit permettant d’être plus concentré durant la conduite en enlevant la peur d’être flashé. Il a été constaté que certains conducteurs freinent brusquement à la vue d’un radar malgré que leur vitesse soit adaptée ce qui peu engendrer les ralentissements, voir même des accidents.

Ces nouveaux équipements mesurent la vitesse moyenne des véhicules sur plusieurs kilomètres. Après la région bâloise, ce mouchard sera installé dès la fin de l’année sur l’A9 dans le Chablais vaudois. Les nombreux radars installés sur l’A1 entre Genève et Lausanne ont fait leurs preuves: les usagers ralentissent.

Le grand bazar dans les radars. Le week-end dernier, on apprenait que près d’un tiers des radars de vitesse au laser - les fameuses jumelles - étaient inutilisables, faute d’avoir pu être vérifiés chaque année, comme c’est la règle. Le site Internet du magazine “Le Point” soulève un autre lièvre : c’est désormais une société privée qui est en charge de la vérification technique des radars automatiques. Une entreprise choisie non pas par l’Etat, mais par la Sagem… qui fabrique les machines ! Les avocats annoncent qu’ils vont s’engouffrer dans cette brèche pour faire annuler les PV.
